Founder and FacilitatorHi, I’m Michael! As a husband, father, and 3rd generation business owner, I’ve seen first hand the challenges of making time for self care and family while juggling the many aspects of operating a business. I founded Strategic Doers Group to help other small business owners like me Integrate Business and Life.
My Story
My family has operated small businesses in the central Va area since the late 1960’s. I received a real-world business education from working with my dad and grandfather in their various food service operations and real estate investments.
After 10 years of working with family, I went to work with an up and coming wireless phone company and soon after opened my own business as a representative of 2 wireless carriers. It was during that time that I hired a business coach and also did some volunteer work for a company that offered training and consulting. This exposure was the catalyst for my passion for speaking, training and business coaching. I pursued my first certification as a business coach in 2004 and began a coaching practice.
Most of my business experience up to this point was as a younger single man. That all changed when I met Heather, the love of my life. We were married and began having kids. It was then I began to see the pitfalls of running a business and trying to have a life. After pursuing a second coaching certification with Maxwell Leadership, I migrated my coaching practice to Peer Advisory Groups. I founded Strategic Doers Group for equipping and encouraging small business owners to pursue an Integrated Life.

Marketing is no good if we don’t deliver on the promise. We are Strategic in what we do and how we do it to ensure that we walk our talk.
3. Stewardship of Resources
We have been blessed with many great resources and seek to manage them well to bring the greatest value to our clients, and share with those in need. We are committed to giving 10% of our gross income to nonprofit organizations in the communities that we serve.
